Amazing lunch spot. Good pizza, good specials, clean and friendly. Almost a five star

Don't. Eat. Here. This was pretty much the worst Chinese takeout you've had, fronting as Italian food. I'm fairly sure they made my chicken Moreno with a freaking Lipton gravy packet and unrinsed canned veggies; Barf! Everything was greasy, even the (frozen) vegetable soup, and the sautéed broccoli and spinach both tasted terrible. Not okay, not bad, TERRIBLE. We had to laugh this one off-- so gross. Just make some friggin spaghettios if you're that hungry.

Very argumentative when they mess up a dilivery order. They offer a 5 dollar credit when the pizza should be compensated (2 out of 3 toppings missing that were on the invoice). Then argue with the customer before they finally agree to give a credit. Very poor customer service, and treatment. Need to take a course in good business etiquette!!!

This is my go to pizza whenever my family orders out. The pizza and wings always fresh and tasty!! I used to go for their lunches for half sub and slice a pizza. Love this place. Give it a try!

The delivered to our condo. Sandwiches, salads, and pizzas are AWESOME. ...pastas depending on the cook. Other than that owner is hands-on and there if you need her.

Last Saturday was my Mom's 90th birthday and 25 people of all ages needed to be fed. What's better than Italian food?! With the help of Margaret, we had a great lunch: Chicken piccata - eggplant parmigiana - pasta with meat sauce & pasta with marinara. Two salads + garlic rolls & plain rolls and an assortment of cookies. All for a very reasonable price. Sal's is not just a local pizzeria but a great neighborhood find.

After an exhausting week of moving, my boyfriend decided we should relax and enjoy some Italian food. The second we arrived, we were seated at the first table, because there was a very loud party of 6 in the middle. The entire time we were listening to them curse, scream, laugh and buy bottles, interacting and trying to converse with the other people trying to enjoy their dinner. Not the restaurants fault, I understand; but they could've asked them to tone it down. Anyways, our soup finally arrives.. Cold. Not complaining still, just trying to eat and get out of there as quick as possible at this point. Our food comes, great. We pay the bill, great. We go to leave, and the second I look down to stand up, a cockroach the size of my head races to my foot and I run out. I have never regretted such a night in my life. All I keep thinking about is how much there is in the kitchen. This is only the end of my review because I'm going to dump my leftovers and then puke.

I always order Sals pizza and only Sals. Awesome stuffed calzones. Very friendly, not expensive. Thankful to have this pizzeria so close. Plus they deliver.

Come here all the time, the food here is absolutely amazing. Very unrated place, never too busy or at least thats what i've seen every time i visited. My favorite is the chicken Alfredo which was one of the best i've ever had.

I've been here a lot. Honestly, the food is pretty good. It's not blow-your-mind amazing, but it's very tasty. However, I have to say that they have a good thing going here. The New York style pizza is very good, perhaps the best out of any chain (though some of the smaller mom and pop's win out by a fairly large margin). The subs are also very good, my favorite being the chicken parm sub. For lunch, they have a great special: $6.99 buys you a slice of pizza, half a sub, and either the soup of the day or a salad. That's a pretty good deal. Overall, this place is pretty good. I can't give it 5 stars, but I can't give it 3 either. 4 it is.

This is my first time in Florida and my mom and I just wanted something quick to eat. I found this place to have very good food! We had pizza and it tasted like it was freshly made from the dough to the cheese!

Terrible weather today here in Deerfield. Needed a place to order from that everyone at the office would like and that offered delivery - no one wants to go out in this rain if it can be avoided. So, like I said on my previous review "who doesn't like pizza?". We all do, but for those that didn't want it today, they have other things in the menu like the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich or the Lasagna, which looked really, really good (very cheesy). One of my coworkers and I, shared an Extra Cheese, Mushroom & Pepperoni Pizza. It was delicious! Perfect amount of cheese, and not stingy with the other toppings. We had the 12", which yes, it was more than we could eat, but now we have leftovers and don't have to worry about tomorrow's lunch :p If you wish to save some $ or don't want leftovers, you can order individual slices too. Giving them one more star today. Not 5, because I've had better pizza but, today, they did good!

Not only is the food amazing but the delivery time is so short it's unbelievable definitely have to go to this place if you're looking for good pizza or pasta

We visited Sal's for dinner recently and came away with mixed results. Depending on which side of the table you sat at, you either enjoyed your meal or hated it. Every dinner comes with tasty garlic rolls. We also ordered fried calamari, which was okay and a bit overpriced. I had the chicken scallipini/marsala, my wife had the chef recommended meat lasagna, both were good. Across from us were two unappetizing looking seafood dishes. Our waitress was attentive, and another waitress was concerned with what we thought of the fare. If I make it down to this area, I won't be back to Sal's. If you feel compelled to to try this out, steer clear of the seafood.

One of my favorite Italian restaurants. You can beat it, but you have to spend a LOT more money to do it. For quality of food for the money, this one beats them all. Great pizza as well, but the meals are why we go here frequently. And no matter what you order, make sure you order garlic rolls. They are incredible. I also appreciate that they have Coke products and they aren't flat like you run into so many times down here. Excellent service and a nice environment.

Went here for lunch and enjoyed the lunch specials. I had the cheese ravioli and the hubby had fettucine alfredo. They were both very good, as were the garlic rolls. Also the price was very reasonable for two lunches. Ok, now comes the "meh" part. Service was merely ok. We were greeted and seated nicely and our server (at the time) was good; she even made me a fresh pot of decaf coffee. However, I hadn't seen our server in about 20 minutes and was trying to flag someone else down for another cup of coffee. Another server came over with the check. I said, "Oh, actually, I was wanting another cup of coffee. I was trying to flag someone down." This server responded, "Well, _____ left, so." Having worked in customer service for many years, and having been a server, in my opinion this was innappropriate and borderline, if not totally, rude. In the end, all was fine. I got my second cup of decaf, which, by the way, was also very good, I just didn't tip as much as I would have normally liked to considering I know personally how tough it is to work for tips.

I've ordered from this place a few times and the food has always been pretty good but the way I was just treated last was horrendous. After waiting quite awhile I contacted the store to see where my order was, and was informed rudely that "it's only been fifty minutes, five zero, and it just left I sent him straight to you ok?" I said ok and hung up to wait. Ten min later the delivery guy shows up with cold pizza and mozzarella stick. Terrible service which made the quality suffer. It's ok you left it sit maybe you forgot just apologize and be honest. You really expect me to believe it was straight out of the oven and cold in ten min?

I have never written a review and am not sure if I can give zero stars so giving a 1 but the reality is this place deserves a zero. The calzone was horrible. I wanted a Stromboli because I prefer no ricotta but wanted in a calzone shape. Not hard its just mozzerella and pepperoni. I was td its empty because I said no ricotta. I counted 3 pepperoni and the calzone is about 2-3 inches of bread. The calzone itself is the size of a big slice of pizza not what you expect or get when ordering to share between 2-3 people. I just don't get how any Pizzeria can mess that up. ever had. The chicken Parm dinners were such a huge disappointment. the sauce was orange not red and thick. the quality that I'm used to from Sal's restaurants. Don't let this place fool you, I don't even believe it's affiliated with the chain Sal's. I was told the soup is minestrone but I have never had minestrone in yellow broth. I should have ate my $50 instead.

Sal's offers a compelling lunch special: 1/2 a sub, salad and a slice for $6.25. That's a pretty good deal. Overall I find the food here to be very bland. Not true Italian but a pretty good deal.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
